CiB Let's Try - Robocop 3 (Sega Genesis)
Robocop 3 (the video game) released in late 1991 for essentially every system possible, including the Sega Genesis. This one has an odd release window, where some versions came out in 1991, and some came out as late as 1993, depending on the system.
The Genesis version was developed by Eden Entertainment Software (who only ever made a few games, including Alien 3 on Sega Genesis), and published by Ocean (the British LJN).
I was correct here -- most versions of the video game for Robocop 3 came out in 1991, far before the movie released in November 1993. The movie was in development hell for awhile, and I guess Ocean decided to just release the games and not worry about it.
Unfortunately, the story of this game's release is much more interesting than the actual game itself -- it's fine in every sense of the word, and is as 5/10 or 6/10 as possible for a 16-bit platformer. A bit on the harder side, and I have no idea how you're supposed to defeat all those rocket launcher guys at the end of the video, but there's definitely been a lot worse that Ocean published back in the day.
Regardless, thanks for watching!
