Spot Goes to Hollywood was released for the PS1 on November 30, 1996 --- a few interesting things about its release: it was also released on Sega Genesis (11/22/95 release), and was released in Japan on PS1 after its American counterpart (1/10/97), which I find to be somewhat of a rarity.

Spot Goes to Hollywood was also released on the Sega Saturn on January 22, 1997, and the Saturn one seems to run as well as the PS1 version.

It was developed by Burst Studios (which became EA Pacific - they made Grand Slam, Golden Nugget 64, and a few Command and Conquer games, and that's it), and published by Virgin Interactive, who found a lot of pride in publishing a lot of completely average games.

This game is definitely a pleasant surprise - I thought it would be an awful 3D platformer, and it ended up being a pretty solid 2D isometric platformer --- even for an early PS1 game, this feels kind of dated, and is a game you would expect to play on SNES. It's pretty uncommon for the PS1, so I'd suggest picking it up if you're a fan of uncommon platformer games - thanks for watching!
