X-Men vs Street Fighter was released as an arcade game in 1996, then ported to the Saturn (in Japan), and eventually worldwide to the PS1. The US received the PS1 port on June 11, 1998. Unsurprisingly, it was developed and published by Capcom (though it was published by Virgin Interactive in PAL regions for some reason).

FAIR WARNING: we are not good at fighting games, and Let's Try videos are us trying games for the first time, to get our fresh, initial views of a game.

We have played a lot, and I mean a lot, of PS1 fighting games, and X-Men vs Street Fighter is simply one of the best. The gameplay is fluid, the controls are tight, and honestly, X-Men characters generally just rule. We still don't know exactly how to bring in your secondary character in battle, but that being said, it's pretty rare to find a PS1 fighting game as well-put together as this one.

Although the PS1 disc is still fairly expensive, this one is available on the Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection, and we highly recommend you check it out -- thanks for watching!
