CiB Phillips CD-i Theater - Litil Divil (Episode 4)
The Phillips CD-i, released in 1991 for almost $1000, was supposed to be the next big thing in video games. It was one of the first systems that used CD technology, so surely, this would be all the rage, right?
With a library of games that have so little gameplay that they barely count as games, a frustrating controller, and no big system-sellers, it's no wonder the system failed. Now, we are here to bring you a lot of CD-i games you haven't seen - this is the bottom of the barrel, folks - it doesn't get much worse than this.
Yes, it is actually spelled 'Litil Divil'. Thanks, CD-i. So, I'm not going to use words like 'fun', or 'enjoyable', but I will call this game an actual game. I could see, if you knew where you were going and what you were doing, that this game could be kind of interesting to go through.
Obviously, since we are just testing stuff out, and, I have no idea where to go, it becomes instantly less fun - but if ALL CD-i games were like this, at least I wouldn't call it the worst system ever. I think, when all is said and done, this will be a top 10, or even top 5 CD-i game (not that that's saying much)
