Alright, so at first glance, Cliffhanger looks like a complete dud. It's the same exact game as the Game Boy, Game Gear, and the (slightly upgraded) Amiga versions, right down to the assets used in-game, so if you're eyes begin to bleed, don't worry. That's normal.
Cliffhanger is a tough sell because of its inexcusably poor presentation, and that is made even worse by the fact that the game was released in 1993, when games like Zen: Intergalactic Ninja and Kirby’s Adventure were beginning to push the NES to its limits. That's all too bad, because in all seriousness, solid controls, good music, and forgiving game play make Cliffhanger an enjoyable, if short lived and overly easy, challenge for an afternoon.
