Description:

Once you climb the wall, there is no going back. I think it's best to complete the game and get the triple AP bonus first before seriously grinding my materia.

3:38 Climbing
You have to fight Shinra troops here, including 3C SOLDIERs. The Heli Gunner, now called the Valkyrie, makes an early appearance and there's a short segment where you have to hide behind cover.
27:11 Boss: The Valkyrie
The 0th phase is running across a ramp while avoiding the machine gun bullets. Once you reach higher ground, you should have Mage Cloud use Aerora to immediately pressure it and have Barret caste Magnify Haste.
In the second phase, it becomes more aggressive, but you have a chunk of concrete to use as cover. The boss can also use a deadly spinning attack and release sleeping gas. I equipped against the gas, but I probably should have used DPS accessories instead.
In the third phase, the boss will release a powerful drone and will attempt to cast a barrier on itself. If you deal enough wind or lightning damage in time, you can pressure it before it can set up the barrier, though only wind is a good idea on hard mode for some reason. Even when pressured, the drone will fire a huge AOE laser from above, but if you bait the laser AOE to hit the boss, you can increase the boss's stagger gauge by a decent amount.

The boss explodes and Barret's grappling gun fails to get a good grip. Fortunately, Cloud and Tifa manage to rescue him.

You'll have to fight several battles with no MP crates. Unlike me, you may want to only use the lowest level Fire spell paired with magnify, just to be MP efficient.
42:47 Shinra Building 1F-3F
You have to do some parkour with Tifa in order to get the key card, and you need to make sure to get her Purple Pain weapon. Afterwards, you can choose to either take the stairs to avoid fights or take the elevator to get to 59F faster. On hard mode, the former option is probably better for saving MP.

Someone tampers with the camera feed to hide the party's presence.
Scarlet leaves the scientists to die to their own experiment gone wrong. Maybe there's still conflict between the departments?
1:02:00 Elevator
You have to fight two waves, and each one can be beaten easily with Magnify Fire if you have the MP. We also run into some corporate wagies, who Barret claims are complicit in Shinra's evil. Perhaps he feels the same way about himself after Corel?
