Close to the Sun is a steampunk-styled, investigative horror game. Aesthetically, the game shares similarities to BioShock, but mechanically the game is more akin to popular non-combat horror games, like Amnesia or Outlast. Close to the Sun places you aboard the Helios--the world's largest ship that also hosts some of the worlds greatest minds, including historical names like Tesla and Einstein.

You play as Rose, who has ventured out to sea after receiving an urgent letter to find her sister Ada on the Helios. You quickly realize that something has gone terribly wrong on the ship. No one seems to be around and the word "Quarantine" is written in blood on the main entrance.
