Clu Clu Land Famicom / NES CRT TV Playthrough asmr
0Released 11/22/1984, Clu Clu Land for Famicom would precede its Vs Arcade counterpart by six days. Difficult to describe in words, it is almost a genre unto itself. "Clu clu" is an Anglicization of "kuru kuru" in Japanese, a term for going around and around. You play as Bubbles the blower fish, using your shock waves to attack urchins and uncover the ingots they have stolen. The sprites for these coins would later be used in The Legend of Zelda. Though some people love this game, it is not my cup of tea.
I am considering a playthrough to be getting through the bonus stage. I played on an original NES with a Game Genie adapter (see Shorts) to allow for playing a Famicom cartridge. I am using a NES Advantage controller, RCA cables, and a Sharp X-Flat 27" CRT TV.
