In this video, we take on the Advanced Singles Coliseum with Regal. Clearing this gives Regal his King of the Coliseum title, and the Kaiser Greaves if you do it after watching the final cutscene.

As always, here are some tips for getting through Advanced Singles with Regal.

Round 1: Heaven's Charge can be used to separate the Velocidragon from the Rider and make the Rider easy pickings. Then it's just a matter of whittling down the dragon's health. On Normal you can equip Sapphire for maximum damage, but Mania doesn't have that luxury. And to make matters worse, the Velocidragon resists non-elemental, and Regal has no innate elemental techs... and the Velocidragon resists Fire too, so the Flare Greaves aren't a good option either. On repeat runs through the coliseum you COULD use the Kaiser Greaves (they are Light element), but that's not going to help with the title.

Also, Phoenix Cloak has 4 points of Fire resist so you only need to equip one more item for immunity. Go with Star Bracelet so your headgear is free to equip something better than Star Cap. I have Headband for the all-around buff, but you could go with Cleric's Hat for extra regen on top of Turquoise.

Round 2: Equip the Sardonyx on Normal for lightning damage, but don't try Storm Dance like I did. You won't hit the Crush Tortoise with it.

Round 3: Crescent Moon can hit the Drake from under it, and so can Regal's jumping normal attack. Either way, don't get greedy and play it safe, especially on higher difficulties, since the lightning breath can catch Regal mid-combo if you aren't careful and Regal has no way to become immune to Lightning.

Round 4: On Normal, go ahead and try Storm Dance, but make sure you use Triple Rage Kick as your midair attack since it won't chain into the Eagle Dive series properly. On Mania, use Flare Greaves for Fire damage. My Ex-Skill set-up also has a decent match-up against the Ice Warrior in general, since not getting staggered on back step makes some of its attacks easier to escape from, and you can Aerial Jump above its projectiles to dodge them all while approaching.

Round 5: Behold, the one enemy in the game that Mirage is really good against. The Dragon Knight is too tall to jump over with Aerial Jump, and its attacks being active for a long time means that you can Mirage through the Dragon Knight to get behind him during his attacks without much risk of it turning around before you can attack him. And in a pinch, you can chain it to Crescent Moon. If you have the Dragon Knight in the corner and find that you don't want to put yourself in the corner with Mirage though, you can use Heaven's Charge to knock it down and give yourself a window to back away and heal if needed.
