Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun Hard - GDI - 13: Destroy Chemical Supply 1/1
Good to be able to finish this off.
The difficulty has been cranked up a notch on this level.
Move your units towards the east, avoiding the weeds with your Disruptors and MCV.
Destroy the small Chemical Refinery and carry on.
Deploy your MCV to the south.
They like to use Chemical Missiles regularly on this mission.
They usually go for Component Towers, but can also go for Barracks or Helipads, and sometimes your Construction Yard.
Infantry to the south east will be a good defense for now until you can get a decent income. Also wall off your Con. Yard, they like the old Sub+Eng trick.
Then work on spreading out some RPG Turrets around the Con. Yard.
5 should do.
There are a couple of things to do. Get working on an APC with Eng, a handful of MLRS (5-10 is good) and maybe a few Jumpjet scouts. ORCA Bombers are also a good idea, or rather the cash to build them (6 was good enough for me)
Head around the edge of the map, to the SE and then NE corner.
Move your MLRS west and destroy the Veinhole here.
Once your MLRS and Jumpjets are ready get working on some Titans, add some Disruptors if you wish.
Repair the bridge and either use the Jumpjet to take out the Artillery or just rush past with your MLRS. Head west and over the water. You'll find the Nod Power supply heavily exposed. Rush an MLRS in to be able to see them fully.
With your Jumpjets explore the south east of their base for the Missile Silo and destroy it with your Bombers. With no power (either due to your exploits, or the weeds overrunning them) they're sitting ducks.
Sit your vehicle force at their front gate and take out any units, whilst they're moving there take out their production structures. Place Disruptors in front of Titans if you have any, to avoid friendly fire.
Leave on structure alive (even their laser defence walls count) and scout the north west.
You should now receive a Ghoststalker reinforcement if you've completed the 'Rescue Prisoners' bonus mission. Send him into train. I for some reason didn't receive him as reinforcements, despite having done it...
Firestorm can be used to the north west to block missiles, but I found it unnecessary, and a waste of time setting up.
I'll do the bonus mission anyway.
Now there are two things that could happen when you send the Ghoststalker in.
The first is that it sits there until you destroy the last structure (most likely).
The other would be interesting.
If it ended the level instantly, there's an alternate strategy for this level, that makes it take less than 10 minutes. Deploy where you start, get working on a Jumpjet and a Carryall+APC (there's space one the harvester gets a few nearby loads).
Send the Jumpjet around to the SE then NE and straight to the NW.
When the reinforcement triggers put him in the APC, lift it with the Carryall and follow the route the Jumpjet took.
They have no decent AA other than surrounding the Missile Silo, they have units but they SHOULD be out of the way.
It would be good to know if someone tries the alternate strategy I just mentioned.
