Complete in Box Plays - Little Samson - Part 1
*angelic chorus*
It... is... here. One of -the- games that NES collectors go crazy over - Little Samson, by Taito (1992). Please note: this is not our copy. We were graciously allowed to borrow it for an LP by a friend.
The immediate question becomes: is this game worth it? I would go as far to say that no game over a couple hundred bucks is 'worth it' (maybe if Mario RPG was that high....), so it's a question we kind of have to separate ourselves from.
So... is Little Samson good? Oh my goodness - yes. Yes it is. Without having played every game on the system, I would say this is easily top 5, if not the best game on the system. It really is fantastic, from the graphics (those backgrounds!!!), the gameplay, the fluid controllers, the relatively long length --- our only minor complaint so far is the soundtrack is merely okay/good.
We'll be back for part 2 (as soon as I practice a little... this game is getting hard!) - see you next time!
