A video of me fighting against gathering pandemonium, Suika Ibuki

Suika Ibuki (the true savior of Gensokyo) is the Extra Boss of the game Concealed the Conclusion, a fangame of the Touhou series made by Danmaq. Danmaq is ZUN's heir to the Touhou Empire. Don't believe? It is true. Just ask the bottom half of my imagination. The Touhou Project is a series of danmaku shooters were epic tells are told, grandiose music is played, and beautiful visages come and go as fast as pure magnificence.

Suika serves as the Extra Boss of Concealed the Conclusion. Like I said in the last video, I love CtC. Danmaq previously made a game called "The Alternative Age". I'm going to be truthful, I haven't played it. I haven't heard is good. I have heard is bad, at least the artwork. The patterns I had seen don't seem to indicate so. The artwork I had seen is worst than ZUN's. The game is obviously overshadowed by CtC. I should be a judge to that later on. There is a patch to improve the artwork proportionally by a coefficient of around 200, but moving on...

During this semester, there was this writing competition. It was worth bonus, English, easily the difference between A and B. Not that it mattered much since the strike froze the class. Case is I wrote for two of the three categories, a poem and a short story. The third category was Essay and like hell I was going to do something I love to do but hate to be told how to do, since winning meant a prize. The "poem" was actually the "lyrics for a hypothetical arrangement of the instrumental song 'Broken Moon' from the game 'Scarlet Weather Rhapsody' by Jun'ya Ota, a videogame programmer widely known as ZUN."
Yeah, that was the beginning of my entry. Yeah, I made that. No, I will not post it. Each stanza practically told the story of each game (remember I see "Broken Moon" as Gensokyo's theme). Well... the third and second to last stanzas actually meshed SWR and UNL together and MoF, SA, and UFO together, respectively. It was both a practical and symbolic decision.

But the important part weren't those stanzas telling the tale, but the stanzas inviting you to hear it. While they were different from each other, they served the same role as a chorus, since they had the same structure, rhythm, and basic role. In each of those, I referred to everything else in the poem as a dream that became reality: "myths [that] become true", a "dream from the likes you will never leave" (A jab at my obsession), a "paradise from the likes you had never heard", and, more importantly, "fantasies [that] exist".
Why am I telling all this? Well, if you know the story behind CtC, you should have a good idea. If not, there are still two videos left. I need to leave something for that, don't I?

Suika's battle is fairly hard in my opinion. Objectively speaking, it is pretty easy once you figure the tricks and knobs of her spells. The hard part is figuring that and since most of her spellcards require flash reflexes and/or pinpoint accuracy, they can get tricky. Thankfully Suika's attacks are weak against the Hakurei orbs and Marisa C brokenness makes some of them a breeze, or at least less tedious. Overall, a fun fight, although the song, while fitting, feels jaded and lackadaisical after you had heard the Phantasm Boss's song. But "Missing Power" does have a more Ex-boss feeling than Broken Moon, although nothing a good arrangement cannot fix. Hopefully.

BTW, my other entry was originally going to be like a diary written by Flan, but I discovered that is not so much Flan perse, but the theme of insanity which interests me. It has always interested me. The protagonist only ended up having three things similar to Flan: slept in a basement (but not lived), was slightly childish (but was a grown woman, probably around 18-20), and, if we go by fanon, has a friend she loved a lot (as a friend). Didn't won, but you know who did win third place? The story I helped proofread. More or less.

Oh, and the poetic voice in the "Broken Phantasm" song is Reimu, but you don't know that until the very last stanza and is only implied. Implied even more heavily if you had read "Border of Phantasm, Border of Shrine" by RED-SIGHT. Although to be fair most of the things I think are original are actually influenced subconsciously by another thing, even if in my life I had ever heard of the other thing. So chances are the same apply for when I think I know where I got my inspiration. Whatever, I already filled by doujin quota.

I encourage you give a check to the translated script of the game in Touhou Wikia:
