A video of me photographing the nicknamed duo of the underground, Rin "Orin" Kaenbyou and Utsuho "Okuu" Reiuzi.
Orin and Okuu (Beaten only by the Inabas when it comes to nicknames) are the Scene 8 bosses of the game Double Spoiler, the 12.5th installment of the Touhou Project and sequel to Shoot the Bullet. The Touhou Project is a danmaku shooter series created by a mystic sect known as Team Shanghai Alice, composed only of ZUN. Or so he wants us to think ಠ_ಠ
First of all, a moment of silence, please, in honor of the deceased Solar Sect of Mystic Wisdom, who was killed, brutally, by Sun Worship of Gnosis.

And that's all I have to say about Utsuho's theme. So now we move to talk about the relationship between Utsuho and Orin (but not the characters themselves) and end with a small paragraph dedicated to Lullaby of a Deserted Hell
In canon, Orin and Utsuho are my favorite couple (not necessarily in a love sense) in the entire series. Even in fanon they rank second place, beaten only by Flan and Koishi. Their friendship is one of the most beautifully illustrated relationships in the series, both by canon and fanon. The only other relationships that, IMO, hold a candle to them are Sakuya/Remilia, Yuyuko/Yukari (maybe?), Byakuren/anyone in her crew, and that last one is simply because it is hard to fight Byakuren (and Yuyuko too) when it comes to platonic beauty.
Parenthesis: First of all, I hate that Orin is portrayed with human ears. I prefer to believe it as a slip of ZUN's part. On a more related note, I TRULY HATE Utsuho's portrayal of "as dumb as stick". That Flanderization of her naivety truly harms the Orin/Utsuho relationship
Back on track: When the characters grew on me (remember from my Orin and Utsuho vids that I disliked everybody in SA 'cept Koishi), I started considering their friendship as beautiful and pure, considering the extent that Orin went to "protect" Utsuho from herself. But this relationship didn't truly stroke me as gorgeous until fanon kicked in and show me these two images:

This artist's works are very lewd and/or grotesque. While the image is relatively tame (and sad), I couldn't find a way to link to it from SFW page.
Anyways, those two images are two of my favorites works revolving around Orin and Utsuho and pretty much shaped my vision on this relationship.
As for Lullaby of a Deserted Hell...well, if Broken Moon and its variations are for me Gensokyo's theme, this is probably the song that plays as you make your way through the stage in order to fight Gensokyo. Liz Triangle has an arrangement of this song and to be honest, there were two arranges I found that I liked better than this and fitted better. However, they tend more towards the rock side (although not rock... I think) and I wanted a pretty calm arrange of the song. I found Lullaby of a Deserted Hell a very nostalgic song and many concur with me. You can't but hear this song and think of a blissful past.
On a final note, with the exception of Scarlet Playthrough Cirno's video, for which, if you remember, I heard over 109 arranges of Beloved Tomboyish Girl, this is the video I had dedicated the most work. How much? Let's see. First, I searched all pixiv for an image. By the way, finding unanimous kickass pictures of these two is strangely hard. Second, The comic up there? That's the artist's page. Don't ask me how I found it. The image? I had to HACK pixiv in order to get to this guy's account... okay, that's an exaggeration, but I did had to figured out the algorithm behind Pixiv's URLs in order to make the URL that would led me to the artist's page. It was easier than it sounds =/
