A personal favorite game of mine, Hi-Octane is a lot more fun than most give it credit for. Most critics unfavorably compared it to WipeOut, which was released right around the same time on the PSX. While WipeOut definitely has both better graphics and overall atmosphere, racing against the CPU comes across as rather bland all these years later in my opinion.


Both ports of Hi-Octane are equally fun, and the original PC version of the game is now abandonware for those interested in playing it.
