A game that only could have come out in the mid-90s, Off-World Interceptor Extreme is a rather drab gaming experience 25 years after it's release. Once you've played one level, you've pretty much seen them all.

But what is interesting are the numerous small differences between PSX and Saturn versions. Slightly different sound effects and FMV quality are just a few of the differences. The PSX version edges out the Saturn for being the better version as it offers a smoother framerate, full-screen FMV (despite being censored), and the ability to save your progress to a memory card instead of writing down a long password.

The original 3DO version plays very sluggishly compared to the two later ports. It also features a rather annoying fuel feature omitted from the later ports that makes a tough game even more difficult.

Games are played on actual consoles using actual game copies.
