Contra was an easy choice if we're focusing on short, hype and cool games. One thing I didn't know at the time was how the Famicom version had more effects and cutscenes. The reason was because Konami used a special chip for their cartridge, allowing more memory. Looking back on Contra, it's pretty much get the spread weapon, and stay alive for as long as possible. A nice short game with a great variety of levels and awesome coop action with a friend.
