Contra: Hard Corps - 1st Stage
6An interesting twist on the Contra series, this one features different paths to take leading to one of six different endings, character select is also a new feature in this one. In Europe, you know this game as Probotector. Another unique aspect of this game is that the versions released in America and Europe are actually harder than the original from Japan since they don't feature a lifebar, one hit and you lose a life. Usually, when they change the difficulty of a game, they make it easier for non-Japanese players like Final Fantasy IV for the SNES (titled Final Fantasy II in America) where some items were less expensive and some bosses were easier to fight amongst other things. They also did it for Super Mario Bros. 3 where getting hit while wearing a special suit such as the Tanuki suit or the Frog suit would get you to Super Mario size everywhere except Japan where you would get back to the reduced Mario size.
