I'm using this in a review I made of this game here (originally in French and now translated in English by myself): http://geekmodeenglish.blogspot.com/2010/01/actraiser.html#complete I edited out the simulation part since it doesn't fit the purpose of the video which is to show only the first act of this Super Nintendo Entertainment System game, but you can see what was cut in this other video of mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftybPf9tphA This game really is a different experience. You are God (actually referred to as Master in the English release) and you must restore the world and it's inhabitants. To do so, you must first clear each area of the local monsters like you see in this video where the game is an action platformer. Then you get to see an overview of the land where the game becomes more of a simulation in which you must guide the people to rebuild their houses and seal the remaining demons. This in turn gives you more health to defeat the stronger demons. All in all it's really fun although the simulation aspect is not as developed as other simulation games (even of its era) and remains basic. The European release has two gameplay options, you can either play the game as it was intended to be in the first place or you can just play it as an action platformer which makes you play through all the acts one after another. By the way, ain't the soundtrack great during the action sequences?
