For some reason I thought this was one of the hidden surround games, which was a Konami thing, but for Castlevania.

I suuuuck at this game and I wiped out my first continue and skipped to the part where I was actually holding up. I keep forgetting I have nukes.

I didn't own this game, but if I did, I probably would have been blown away by the many ways to deal out damage. The SNES controller allows for seamless adjustments to your battle strategy, offering not just bombs, but the ability to swap weapons and bank one for after you die. Once you get used to this and trudge through the game a bit, it kind of makes you feel like a truly effective badass vs. the aliens. You could be sprinting through hordes of enemies with the spread gun and the moment a tank pops up, you switch to your rockets and level it in seconds...ready to swap back to the spread gun when reinforcements come. The more you play, the faster and more efficient you get.

And this game doesn't mess around. It's out to challenge you immediately. So you better get used to the new abilities or you will not make it very far.
