The video image from the PS2 version of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike comes out too wide under the game's default screen setting--but you can fix it in the game's option menu.

The arcade game seems to have run a standard 4:3 aspect ratio screen (I'm basing this on measuring video from the HD ports on PS3 ( https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=HYn_BPPRXik ) and PS4 ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3TeYwBfJDo ), but the PS2 version's default screen aspect ratio is about 10:7, which is a bit wider than 4:3--so the characters and backgrounds are stretched a little wider on-screen than they should be.

In this video I pop into the PS2 version's Training mode to show what the default, slightly too wide screen setting looks like ( 0:21 )--note how long Alex's leg extends with his furthest kick, for instance ( 0:35 ).

Then I go into the game's screen options ( 0:45 ) to fix the aspect ratio: adjusting the "X RANGE" setting from the default 100% to the lowest setting it allows (it's almost like they knew...), 94%. This makes the game screen slightly narrower.

With that set I pop back into training mode to see the result ( 1:20 ). If you take a screenshot there and measure the visible screen's width and height in Photoshop or something, you'll find they now come to nearly an exact 4:3 ratio. All set!
