Checking out the vertical cute-em-up Star Parodier on an RGB-modded PC Engine Duo-R:

0:00 - animated intro
4:17 - Option Mode
4:53 - How to Play (skipped out : P)
5:24 - Normal Game (as PC Engine)
1:01:47 - Battle Stage mode
1:01:53 - Battle Stage Option Mode
1:02:13 - 2 Minutes mode (as Paro Ceaser)
1:04:44 - 5 Minutes mode (as Bomber Man--actually cleared this one! : o)

The three playable characters have totally different weapon types, which are granted from little floating power-ups during play--some aren't nearly as good as others, so there are times where you have to spend your time dodging an unwanted "power up" : P. There are also actual "power-down" items. : PP

Even so, on default difficulty the main game is boringly easy until the late stages (one of which is a killer maze, which is not too fun); maybe some time I'll have to try it on the harder difficulty.

The timed "Battle Stage" modes are also really easy, except that I timed out the 2 minute mode--not sure if it's finishable since it seems like the same course as the 5 minute mode. But at least they don't last forever, so the low difficulty isn't as terrible. And they do have a harder difficulty, which maybe I'll have to try some time.

The game is cute as all get-out, with large, colorful sprites and some impressive effects. There are parodies of some other Hudson Soft games, like the boss fight against a giant Bomber Man at 37:55, which is kinda neat.
