Counter-Life | Back to Xen | No Failure Run
Finally, a mapset where I can get some decent longarms and finish in a sensible timeframe! Yes, the fighting gets really frantic sometimes, and the start of the mapset is pretty rough on Hard, but I'm still glad that things went well enough that I could indulge in most of the weapon slots. An AR, shotgun, and even the dualies get to show up. Quite a glowup compared to the last two runs where I'm just running a single pistol for the whole thing.
While I'm at it, cobbled up a 2x upscale pack for the HUD. Nearest neighbor on Photoshop, nothing funny. Just something to keep the HUD from being too tiny in bigger monitors. Also went through the trouble of messing around with some of the weapon and ammo sprites to make them match to the rest of CS' arsenal. I'm no artist, so they're not exactly "whole artstyle" consistency material, but it's decent enough for what I can do.
