Never would I have imagined playing this version of Minecraft that's originally from Source, in 1.6 as a reduced remake. It's after all the map that launched the channel into its first surge of popularity. Of course, the physics work differently here, so we won't have fail nades or zombies jumping into the boat at the perfect time (because the timing almost never allows so here).
Overall, it's quite faithful to the original in that it features a number of the iconic areas, such as the spawn with branching paths, the river with the boat, and the lava pit ending with the carts. However, it is considerably shorter as the porter took some shortcuts and removed a number of areas (such as the forth with the doors, and many in-between areas).
Overall, a very fun and enjoyable map to play, and looking very much like Minecraft due to its textures and models. Enjoy!
