After leaving Asgard building, Max takes the only option he has; heading towards Aesir Corporation headquarters in order to assassinate Nicole Horne on behalf of the only surviving member of the Inner Circle, being faced with toughest of her guards and killer suits and high-tech security measures. While making his way through the building, Max runs into Mona Sax who is revealed to have been hired by Nicole Horne to kill both Don Punchinello and Max himself, having ultimately failed in both assignments as Horne's men gunned Punchinello down in his office after her assassination attempt failed and she refused to kill Max, considering that he didn't deserve to die. Due to this, Horne's men turn on Mona and seemingly shoot her dead in an elevator with Max checking the elevator again later and finding that Mona has disappeared once again...
