0Max arrives to Asgard Building where he meets a mysterious man who introduces himself as Alfred Woden. He also reveals himself to be a member of secretive society consisting of powerful individuals known as Inner Circle. As per his earlier promise, he reveals more about mysterious woman who had Max's family killed and tried to kill Max at Punchinello manor, identifying her as Nicole Horne, president of Aesir Corporation who was once a member of Inner Circle while they were still involved in Project Valhalla, having been the only one who refused to give up on developing Valkyr while other members including Woden were blackmailed in order not to interfere. Woden offers Max a deal; He'd eliminate Horne in order to allow Inner Circle to expose her illegal activities in exchange for Circle's protection and assistance regarding his murder charge. However, during the meeting, Horne's killer suits barge into the room, gunning down all members of the Inner Circle except for Woden who somehow survived with Max escaping by leaping into building's courtyard before starting to fight his way out of the building as it is taken over by Horne's mercenaries...
