All 25 Slave Crystals have finally been gathered by Crash Bandicoot through the guiding of Dr. Neo Cortex.

Cortex feels victorious and thanks Crash on a huge job well done. Before he could go any further, however, Coco interrupted his signal, and was finally able to tell Crash the truth about Cortex.

Cortex is planning to use the 25 Crystals to power his new-and-improved Cortex Vortex space station. One blast from this ship is able to cover the entire Earth, turning everyone on it into Cortex's mindless slaves.

Of course, we should actually know this from the beginning of the game. Again, Crash himself didn't know about any of this until now, but remember, folks, IT'S RIGHT IN THE GAME'S TITLE!

Coco tells Crash not to give Cortex the Crystals, while Cortex regains control and tell him otherwise. He really wants Crash to bring him CRYSTALS!
--------------

This translates into a boss battle against Cortex; last one for this game, but the second encounter against him for the whole series.

This time, Crash and Cortex are in outer space, flying through massive rings with a jetpack and jet boots, respectively. Crash may have already given Cortex the Crystals even though Coco told him not to. Now he's trying to get them back.

You chase after Cortex for a while, trying to get up to him and hit him up to three times. There will be asteroids and space mines that get in your way. They won't kill you, but they will slow you down. You can hit them out of the way, though.

There is a ring at the end with a blue portal. If Cortex manages to get through it, he finally Strikes Back and takes over the world, with Crash to unwillingly thank for. This costs you a life and you'll have to start the boss over again.

This can actually be the easiest of the Cortex bosses throughout the original trilogy. Just don't get slowed down. If you manage to defeat him, you'll ruin his latest plan and he swears revenge on Crash yet again.
--------------

So Crash finally gets to go back home. He sleeps on the shores of N. Sanity Beach, the first level of the first game, with his sister Coco. Although the world is saved, Coco wonders what ever happened to Cortex and, more importantly, his space station.

The Cortex Vortex spaceship is still in space, currently uninhabited but still fully-functional. The Slave Crystals and their Master Crystal are long gone at this point, but even with no one on the ship, it could still be a threat.

Remember a long time ago near the beginning, when Crash got to talk to N. Brio? Brio wants to destroy the Cortex Vortex, but Crash needs to give him all of the game's Gems so he can power a laser that will destroy the Cortex Vortex.

So that's it then! Before this game can be truly beaten, get all of the Gems, too! My next remaining videos for this game will focus just on doing that.
----------

Like everything else, this last boss was also remastered for the PS4's N-Sane Trilogy. Check that out with the link below, as it has something extra happen to you right after you beat Cortex, this time!
