Crash Bandicoot 2 (N. Sane Trilogy) - Episode 7: You've just gotta Bee-lieve...
In this episode of the "Crash 2" playthrough, we start the fourth set of levels, get the purple gem, suffer multiple bee-related deaths, and do a sewer level.
Believe that the bees found in Bee-Having and one other stage are the worst enemies in this game and are one of two big reasons why the fourth set of levels is my least favorite (with Cold Hard Crash being the other one) on the grounds that the game gives you very little room for error when dealing with them. The second you pass by a hive, you best book it forward and out of range because those bees with charge you with blinding speed and will kill you where you stand if you stop moving for even a second unless you have an Aku Aku to take the hit. And as if it wasn't bad enough that we have to deal with dodging super bees while contending with electrical fences, sometimes the bees will emerge from their hive as soon as you're next to it, leaving you no time to defend yourself- hence how I got the screenshot for this video.
Well, on the bright side, we got the purple gem and the box gem, meaning that we don't have to make a return trip. Plus, we complete the next level, a sewer stage, without too much difficulty and even get a secret exit.
