Welcome back, lords and ladies as we dive back into the hellfire and horror that is F.E.A.R. 2: Project origin. And the day begins like any other militaristic FPS day. The sun is shining, the bullets are firing and the VIP needs an EVAC. But not everything seems to be daisies and DMRs as the stange feeling that something's not quite right. Then things take a turn as we start to realise that events are transitioning from the original F.E.A.R. to now. Alma's a big girl now, and lighting rooms of people on fire doesn't seem to satisfy her anymore. But along with that come the presence of both mercenary forces as well as Alma's own psychically controlled goons. And on top of all that, there are escaped lab experiments wreaking havoc. In order to put an end to all this, Alma needs to be destroyed, unfortunately, she's targeted us well before we even knew she was still out for blood.
Retaining many of the same systems from F.E.A.R., such as the reflex mechanic and a host of collectables and powerups, F.E.A.R. 2 sports a new arsenal of weaponry, new enemies, new situations (many of which are downright disturbing), and a new squad of friends who will no doubt die or abandon us arbitrarily so that we spend most of the game alone, whoo!
