OK, so this game is the main reason I wanted to look into Switch emulation (although Virtua Racing and Sega AGES Outrun were also added bonuses). I've never actually seen this game in the arcades, but based on how much I've previously enjoyed a lot of old Midway and Raw Thrills stuff stuff, if they bring out an arcade racer, you can generally guarantee it'll be a good one. If this had come out on PS4 or PC it'd have been a day one purchased for me.

Cruis 'n Blast actually runs not too terribly on my aging system. The frame rate's a bit janky, but there's no audio lag and the game feels like it's actually playing at the right speed, despite the wonky frame rate. The game is helluva fun. I'd rather play something like this any day of the week over your Gran Turismos, Forzas Project Cars and the like. Loving all the Hydro Thunder-esque stuff going on, like the big drops and the over the top levels.

I just wish Raw Thrills could actually port this game to some additional systems (i.e PS4 or PC) but it seems like even though this appeared in the arcade a few years back under their branding, Nintendo still own the Cruis 'N IP.
