Crusader of Centy [Genesis] - Journey #316 (3/3)
0Crusader of Centy is an action adventure game, much like Illusion of Gaia or Terranigma. The game is often labeled as a "Zelda clone", but I would not say so. Crusader of Centy is much more focused around adventuring; exploring the world and its inhabitants whereas Zelda is more focused on dungeons and puzzles.
You play as a young boy whom have just turned 14, and therefore inherited his father's sword. Thus, you set out questing to become a hero. On your quest, you gain various abilities by requiting animal companions. For example your dog whom can hold enemies in place or a cheetah whom allows you to run faster. You can only equip two animals at a time. This animal mechanic makes the game feel rather unique, and I think it works very well. All in all, I really enjoy this game. Only thing that is a bit unfortunate is that the story is rather hard to follow, and at times feels a bit disconnected.
