CryEngine and Crytek have certainly had their share of problems lately and to third party developers, CryEngine seems all but abandoned, with CryEngine 5.7 LTS being the last public release. A community of CryEngine users have decided to take matters into their own hands and created an updated version of CryEngine, CryEngine Community Edition that adds new features, bug fixes and improvements.
