Programming in BASIC on the Color Computer Chapter 18 - part 2 - "Being a YoYo"
As we continue to work our way through chapter 18 in Programming in BASIC, we come across a very cool program that draws a YoYo on 8 pages of graphics memory, then switches between these pages to create animation of the YoYo going up and down.
It's a very short and simple program, but, the effect is nothing short of amazing. This reminds me of why I loved Extended Color BASIC so much, there were so many cool commands like this.
The demo illustrates changing graphics pages with the PMODE (Mode, Page) syntax, then it uses a few FOR... NEXT loops to cycle through the pages forwards and backwards to perform the animation! Amazing!
Commands used:
PMODE
