After great internal debate, including setting up other games I ended up not wanting to play quite as much, I think 2 years is plenty time to pass before doing a v2 run. How much did all those patches fix, I wonder? So far, there's some memory leak or something that's making me restart the game every few hours to fix the framerate issue, and I have to pipe audio through a USB XLR audio interface because the game makes my sound blaster toggle channels rapidly.
