Performance, UI, and Features and system resources
Less Resources = VLC (Modern version) from Windows Store
Most Resources used = Power DVD,
Most Features = PowerDVD, Also missing features (Subs contained in video files (AKA .mp4 and .mvkv files)
Best UI , Cleanest and easiest UI = MPC-HC
All in all WM-HC is best play out of the 3, IMO out beats VLC for Desktop and Window media player
-----------
conclusions, PowerDVD is not too heavy on the bloatware as they seem to have cut out needed to install services, Only 1 Startup process added (powerDVD 15 AKA the agent) that can be disabled
Agent dose not *exit* out of the process when app is closed :(
Features like not being able to choose Subs titles that are part of a container video file like .mkv files is a huge issue.
how ever dose play Blu-rays and dvd directly which some apps like VLC (Moderen) can not. Plays DVD and Blu-rays better then WMP-HC which.
As long as you disable the startup, media libery, it cut down on system resources and backend useless task
Worth the buy. On a 50% or more sale on steam yes. For 108$ up front, no..
