Daizo's Journey (Cancelled Build) - W3-1 - Deadweight District
42024 revealed the release of "Daizo's Journey ~ Chapter 1: To Rise Above All" and a few people were curious what will happen to the original Daizo's Journey build I started back at around 2011/2012. So I'm releasing videos of what is now going to be known as the "Cancelled Build" which I'll release as a hack at some point in the future. This will document every single finished level I made.
Welcome to world 3 with probably the first really brutal level in the whole game: Deadweight District. "Deadweight Laks" patrol the area and throw deadweights that'll stun you, and they always alternate bouncing left or right. Ontop of chutes that spawn ones that bounce many times, it's very easy to get overwhelmed by the stage.
Plan for the future -
I got a new song written for this specific level, and this is one of the few levels that is just iconic in my head. Making the level design even better + also using my current assembly abilities to polish the level further makes me excited to get Chapter 1 out.
