I've been noticing a trend with DS2 invasion where I'll invade a player and their summon, end that invasion, and then later invade the same group but now the host and summon roles have been switched. Originally I thought it was just a circumstance of invading players who've elapsed the 30 minute cooldown an area provides (only counts down when you're in the area as well) upon killing the area boss and not wanting to 1v1 an invader they ask their friend to use the small white soapsign. With how frequent it's happened though I'm more inclined to believe that there really is just a lot of people taking turns being host as they make their way through the game.
