I understand hiding behind an ally, it's effective to utilize teamwork when it is possible, but I hate how a lot of hosts/summons refuse to approach an invader/pve when they're unable to surround and overwhelm it. Likewise I hate hiding behind pve for similar reasons but I recognize that it is sometimes the only safe option to obtain a heal or rethink a strategy. A notable difference between the two though is that pve is generally programmed to only deal with one target at a time and in most cases pve enemies die quickly because they're intentionally made to have small health totals.
