Dark Souls 3: Let's Leave This on a Nice Enough Ending (Raw Clip)
3A little backstory not shown in the video; this is actually the second time I invaded this group, the first was at Cathedral of the Deep about half an hour prior with most of that clip being lost due to the capture buffer limit. That fight went on for a while as I was trying to practice something at the time while dropping little stacks of random items on occasion to keep the host invested in fighting. It turned out that the world had been a dried finger world the entire time though and as soon as a blue came in a no fun invader had as well. At some point while I was fighting the blue the host died to that fully optimized invader and was hit with some BMs despite being clearly new and unlike many was honestly trying.
Under normal circumstances I would not be very forgiving to someone unwilling to leave the bonfire. In this circumstance though the host was willing to leave the bonfire, at least when he/she had summons. Once the sunbros were dead and the replacement blue spirits were as well the host was easily in a position that most take to resummon the former dead but he/she didn't. He/She didn't want to prevent a death at all costs, they merely wanted a reset near the bonfire to try the level again.
Looking at the two invasions again I wish had dropped a bigger stack of embers at the end. At the time I figured 3 would be enough to encourage a group to continue their co-op without it being a reward for quitting. Had I realized it was the same group I had fought at the Cathedral, wasn't until after I had the clips sorted that I did, I would've probably approached this invasion (or at least its ending) differently.
