Treating PVP as if it was PVE is not a good idea. Not because it requires a build made for PVP to be good in PVP but rather because a human opponent is able to adapt to a much wider range of conditions and is able to do so without a condition flag being triggered. Unlike PVE which can only respond to something if it can detect it and has been programmed to respond to it. Backstabs aren't broken, against a player actively avoiding you it's notably difficult landing one, it's the average mindset of players who have created a false/lazy understanding of them that are broken.

TL:DR STOP circle strafing in PVP for backstabs.
