Whether it's by accident from running out of stamina between each attack or if it's intentional by timing it to a panic roll, roll catching an opponent is incredibly efficient. Escaping a roll catch chain likewise can be notably tricky. The best way to avoid it is to recognize that your opponent is generally not taking the 2nd R1 and then delay your roll. If you have a parry tool out and they're not respecting it though then wait for a small delay then parry their roll catch attempt.

If they live through the riposte they'll probably think twice about trying it again so recklessly. If they were intentionally roll catching you and they're a good player than use caution throwing out another parry though, good opponents will use it as an opportunity to mix in a backstab so delay your roll if in doubt.
