I absolutely hate the Ringed City Inner Wall bonfire for many reason (I'm sure most experienced invaders can relate) but one nice thing it has going for it is the elevator on the side. When you have a gank (any group not progressing into the level here should be considered as a gank imo) in that small room, where it's easy to run away and abuse summon signs, sometimes you just need a small window to heal or separate the group. Depending on the situation that elevator can be annoying to deal with or it can give you a much needed window.
