A very common trend among sorcery casters is spamming spells/buffs that deal very high damage in one instant until something hits. A very common trend among pyromancers is using high damage spells/weapons spammed as fast as possible until something hits. A very common trend among miracle builds is spamming anything and desperately praying that it works. In a 1v1 it's pretty clear that the fastest spammer is going to win.
