If your only strategy in winning fights in DS3 is running then turn and burns then you really don't have any skill. What you have is others making mistakes because they HAVE to pressure you, otherwise they'll have to deal with an endless wave of summons or a host with endless estus. When you supplement turn and burns with a weapon such as an Exile CGS or a Lothric Knight SS it becomes obvious that you're not skilled at it either, you're just looking to delete as much health as fast as possible with an easy to use weapon. Add using poise casted Force and everything about your "survival" run is clearly based not on skill but rather just other's mistakes and occasionally getting lucky.

While it usually just takes one decent invader being cautious to slowly break down a host like this, this host had terrible luck in that each of the invaders here was hard countering him, each in different ways. Between each invader the turn and burns were being mitigated by backstab fishing, counter turn and burns, and careful flanking. The use of Force casts was being countered by holding up a shield, using caestus perseverance, and the Aldrich mvp casting Vow of Silence. Maybe had the ganker's summons not been killed so quickly, by some really sweet timing and indirect teamwork, the host would've had a better chance at the end in a straight up fight. Without them though he had 3 invaders already equipped to deal with the turn and burns but now each also had a way of chipping him down as well.
