Dark Souls III - How to kill the Watchers Solo with Sellsword Twinblade +4
8Here we take on the Watchers and admittedly it was tempting to hire help. Unfortunately, any time I helped others on this boss fight, we simply destroyed the boss. At first, going solo with Darkdrift +2 left me destroyed...sometimes on phase one which was really annoying. One time after killing phase one, the positioning left me right on top of the flame watcher and it was a OHK. I am sure you have seen enough OHK in your own playthrough so I left these out of the video. It's a tough boss, hut is possible to solo at low level learning the attacks, keeping your distance, and using an upgraded weapon.

Here are some tips that are seen in the video:
Use an upgraded weapon...you should be able to get enough Large Titanite shards from trading with the crow lady to get up to at least +4 if not 5. If you dont waste twinkling on the grass crest shield and a random frost weapon (like I did) you should be able to find enough crystal lizards for +3.
Use the Deeep Protection buff (requires a bit of faith) which although only gives a small buff, but gives increased attack, defense, and stamina regen. Stacked with the grass crest shield and the cloranthy ring this gives you MUCH better recovery of your stamina which is necessary in this fight.
Although I didnt do this is in the video a good flame shield might help those that still rely on shields, the Dragon Crest Shield is available at this point but its heavy, so I dont use shields, havent since the end of DS1. Wearing the best flame resistant armour at this point in the game helps a lot regardless of your playstyle, and happens to be light. The antiquated set and Conjuarator set appear to have had the highest flame resist for the sets I had in my inventory at this point.
The biggest help in this fight was kiting the Darkwraiths over to the fog door prior to entering...they distract the watchers and even the final one goes over there if he is closer to them than you. Use this tactic to get your buffs ready as shown in the video (be sure to use your shortest lasting buffs last unlike me in the video. ;)
