Dark Souls is one of the most critically acclaimed RPGs of this hardware generation and the game has now received a much-anticipated PC version. As the developers themselves have readily admitted, this is a very simple port without any real technical enhancements (the frame rate is even locked 30 FPS) and it also comes with the always annoying Games for Windows LIVE. Still, fans of hardcore RPGs who haven't checked out Dark Souls before (or, like me, already own the PS3/Xbox 360 version but hardly play games on consoles any longer) now have even fewer excuses not to get brutally killed over and over again in this notoriously unforgiving modern classic.
