Darkest Dungeon was a an RPG dungeon crawler with extra features, a dark fantasy vibe and superb writing. Darkest Dungeon 2 is a roguelite and has more in common with card battlers like Slay the Spire or Monster Train. But it's still one of the best games of 2023 in my opinion, and already a candidate for the YOE GOTY 2024.

I know you guys are still oh boying and oh wowing about Baldur's Gate 3 or reminiscing about Baldur's Gate 2 and the rest of the Infinity Engine games of 20 years ago... but... hear me /watch me out for a moment here.
