This is a play-through using VH2 Rikuo in the PS1 version of Darkstalkers 3. Read on below for more information...

VH2 Rikuo (Vampire Hunter 2 version of Rikou) is an alternative version of Rikuo in this game. He is a hidden playable character.

===== About VH2 Rikuo / Aulbath =====
Basically the Vampire Hunter 2 version of the merman. The main difference between him and the regular Rikuo is that VH2 Rikuo uses quarter-circle motions instead of charge motions for his Sonic Wave and Poison Breath special moves. Aside from that, I'm not sure if there are any other differences.

---- He has the exact same color palettes as regular Rikuo.

---- For some reason, his Direct Scissors move only works when you select him with the [LP] or [MP] colour palettes.

---- You cannot select him in Original Character mode.

---- You can only select him in Shortcut mode in Arcade, Versus or Training.

---- He is known as Aulbath in the Japanese version of the game.

---- The game is known as Vampire Savior EX Edition in Japan.

===== About PS1 Darkstalkers 3 =====
Due to the PS1's hardware limitations, a LOT of character animation frames had to be cut... if you're used to the Arcade/Saturn versions of the game, you'll definitely notice it. The game features all the characters from the Darkstalkers series. So yes, Phobos, Pyron and Donovan are in.

However despite the animation cuts, the PS1 version of Darkstalkers 3 is actually quite special, as it is basically a 'collection' of Vampire Savior, Vampire Savior 2 and Vampire Hunter 2 all rolled into one single game. If you unlock the Ex Options, you can get to select the system mode of the above three games... so for example if you select Vampire Hunter 2, you'll get the VH2 BGMS, endings and system (such as Pyron replacing Jedah as the game's main boss). It's good stuff and it's a good port of the arcade game.
