Dead Island (Gameplay #5) - Everybody was Zombie Fighting [ENDING]
I have finally finished Dead Island's sprawling 25+ hour campaign, and despite having reached level 37 there was still a lot of unlocked damage-dealing potential left in my chosen character class (for example, I never got the ultimate Blunt weapon attack nor advanced very far in a skill tree associated with the special "Fury" attack). The gameplay ultimately turned out to be a bit too repetitive to completely avoid overstaying its welcome due to the sheer length of the campaign, but the basic melee combat remains satisfying and the player gets to explore new and surprisingly detailed environments throughout the game. Overall, Techland's latest release is a surprisingly well-made and ambitious FPS/action RPG hybrid which easily belongs somewhere on a "10 Best Games" list for 2011.
