3Following on Augie Blatz's trail, Jack comes to The Den Of Iniquity, an nightclub and Blatz's regular hangout spot, despite his public facade of an law-abiding philatropist. As he enters the club to look for Blatz, Jack runs into Hildy, woman who worked as an assistant to his father within his private detective agency. With Frank having been unable to pay her regularly as of late, she sought an employment at the club as an stripper to top up her income. As Jack informs her that Frank has been killed earlier that night and that he is looking for Auguie Blatz, Hildy offers to distract the bouncers at the club's main area to allow him to get close to the VIP parlor where Blatz is currently located with Jack agreeing. As Hildy dances, Jack is able to sneak to the main dancefloor and get rid of the civillian clubbers by triggering an fire alarm. However, just then, one of the bouncers brings Hildy out on an gunpoint, aware that she allowed an police officer to enter the club. Coming down to the dancefloor to protect Hildy, Jack engages a group of bouncers in an brawl that quickly escalates into an gunfight that also sees two Russian criminals and brothers, Boris and Dimitri Volkov, killed. After massacring everyone on the dancefloor, Jack makes his way to the VIP parlor where he finds Blatz in the middle of the round of Poker. As Jack confronts him with his apparent role in his father's death, Blatz orders his men to kill Jack while he tries to escape the club. Pursuing him, Jack chases Blatz out of the club and to his own apartment, killing all of Blatz's men covering his retreat. However, as he comes to Blatz's apartment, Jack finds him gagged and tied up to his own sofa before suddenly being shot through the side of the head. Severely injured but still alive, Jack sees the attacker reveal himself but is unable to stop him as he reveals that someone hired him to kill Blatz but leave Jack alive. Attacker goes on to kill Blatz himself by shooting him through the head and plant two handguns; One in Jack's hands and one in Blatz's, making it look like two men had fought and Jack ended up killing Blatz after Blatz injured him. As the assassin leaves the scene before the authorities arrive, he taunts Jack by revealing that Augie Blatz wasn't responsible for his father's murder...
