Deep Horizon Heavy Hauler is best ship to get after Manticore.
Turret Ships progression: Scarab - Manticore - Deep Horizon.
The Deep Horizon Heavy Hauler is thickly armored against attack, with a sizeable hold and 10 turret mounts. Excellent for traders who expect to endure heavy fire, and rely on turrets for offense.
It's not fast and it's not the most maneuverable ship available. However, you can shoot the superlaser of the Death Star into this and Deep Horizon will survive. The hull on the ship is incredibly thick.
My build:
- All 10 turrets equipped with Mk6 Pulse Turrets
- Broadsides Mk6 Proton Cannon
- Mk6 long-endurance booster and Mk6 engines
- Mk6 Deflector, useful for taking hits from long range missile salvos.
- Mk6 Flak turrets as a secondary weapon, mainly for taking out missiles when possible.
- Mk6 hull and Mk 6 shields

A full cannons build gives Deep Horizon a very good range and makes it even more safe, comfortable and easy to play than a laser build.
